Several articles in this month’s newsletter highlight the importance of prioritizing among various process improvement projects so as to align them with meeting business goals. Tools such as a project prioritization matrix and critical path analysis are explored to help make the right decisions on where to apply resources.

The impact of the global economic slowdown on BPO seems to be mixed bag. Predictions of growth in the BPO industry have suddenly been changed during the past two months, and one is seeing a lot of conflicting assessments. Analysts are still trying to sort out the longer term impact of the economic crisis. Newspaper offshoring seems to be gaining traction recently. Another interesting article explores the many challenges facing Banking CIOs, especially in today’s environment.
