The following positions are open in Ajira's Development Center in Chennai, India :
Position: PROJECT LEAD

Responsibilities : Specifies, designs, implements and maintains software components. Is familiar with a variety of software concepts, practices, and procedures. Uses broad knowledge of company's product and strong technical background to contribute to feature design processes for the product. Brings strong expertise in C, C++ and Java, In addition this is a key Project Lead hire that has immense career potential here in India and later on in the U.S. Prior experience in the U.S strongly preferred.

Experience : 7 + years in software industry including participation in a few enterprise-class projects. Architected, designed, developed, deployed, and maintained at least one C++/Java application. Participated in the building and shipping of at least one complex enterprise or shrink-wrapped product.

Skill Sets
     Multiple programming platforms (C, C++, Java)
     Multiple Operating systems (Linux, Solaris, Windows, HP/UX, AIX)
     Communication protocols like TCP/IP, HTTP, IIOP
     Database technologies and Transaction processing    
     Microsoft SQL Server
     OO design techniques and heuristics
     Application architectures and design patterns
     Algorithms and data structures
     Software methodologies and notations (UML, RUP, etc.)
     JFC/Swing
     Configuration Management tools (e.g. CVS)

Education : BS in Computer Science/B.Tech/BE/MCA or equivalent courses.

Position: SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Responsibilities : The Software Engineer specifies, designs, implements and maintains software components. Is familiar with a variety of software concepts, practices, and procedures. Uses broad knowledge of company's product and strong technical background to contribute to feature design processes for the product. Brings strong expertise in C, C++ and Java.

Experience : 3 + years in software industry including participation in a few enterprise-class projects. Architected, designed, developed, deployed, and maintained at least one C++/Java application.

Skill Sets
     Multiple programming platforms (C, C++, Java)
     Extensive experience in Windows Operating Systems
     Database technologies and Transaction processing - Microsoft SQL Server
     OO design techniques and heuristics
     Application architectures and design patterns
     Algorithms and data structures
     JFC/Swing
     Prior System Administration Skills highly desirable.

Education: BS in Computer Science/B.Tech/BE/MCA or equivalent courses.

Position: SOFTWARE ENGINEER TRAINEE

Responsibilities : The Software Engineer Trainee specifies, designs, implements and maintains software components. Is familiar with a variety of software concepts, practices, and procedures. Uses broad knowledge of company's product and strong technical background to contribute to feature design processes for the product. Brings strong expertise in C, C++ and Java.

Experience : Must have architected, designed and developed at least a few serious, involved C++/Java applications as part of their coursework or beyond.

Skill Sets (At least three of the following as Coursework or as part of Project work)
     Multiple programming platforms (C, C++, Java)
     Extensive knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
     Database technologies and Transaction processing - Microsoft SQL Server
     OO design techniques and heuristics
     Application architectures and design patterns
     Algorithms and data structures
